Justine is a General Practitioner with an outlet for her calling to care for people through medicine. She has always taken this caring beyond work, as a mother of 4 children and carer for numerous animals in her life.

Most recently her talent for nurturing has meant she is a top-rated Airbnb host in Derbyshire.

Justine combines her love of healing and hosting at Wise Women Retreats. Your initial contact, individual needs, creating your room and menu are all Justine’s ‘department’.

Retreat Guest, May 2024

Anita Nathan

Anita has a special interest in meditation and deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and is constantly amazed by the power of sound therapy to bring about healing and balance.

Anita began her work in nursing (adults then children). She has also worked in a school as a teaching assistant and helping children with special needs.

She temporarily returned to nursing during the Covid crisis but has now retired from nursing completely and is instead focusing on meditation, relaxation and yoga classes and sound healing. She is part of the healing team at Wise Women Retreats where she brings all her training and experience to date into a synthesis of relaxation, movement and sound healing, in bespoke classes based on the individual needs of each member of each retreat.

Anita is a qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher since 2003 and has been practising yoga since 1990 following a back injury. She teaches Hatha Yoga which includes both Yin and Yang practices with the aim to bring about balance. Sessions include breath work, as well as the physical yoga practice and a relaxation to finish.

Anita is also a qualified sound healing practitioner, aromatherapist, massage therapist and children’s yoga teacher.

Gina Hinks

Gina provides reflexology treatments at the retreats. She has practised Reflexology and Homeopathy for many years as part of a lifelong interest in complementary medicine.  She has many regular clients who come to her for her Reflexology skills as well as for her warm and empathic nature.

All the care, you imparted and wisdom made everyone feel really comfortable together. We all came away with new insight and wisdom about how to move forward with our own lives and needs.”
